  1. Can we swim in the Bay of Chaleur?

Yes, absolutely.  We are directly in front of the beach which is cleaned every morning to pick up the debris left by the tides.  There are some rocks in the sand and the beach is unsupervised.  The views are incredible and it is a great place to spend the day in the sun.  There are washrooms and a canteen on the beach.

  1. Is there a playground for children?

Yes, we have a playground on our site and there is also a larger one at the beach, directly in front of the cottages.

  1. Are there herons on your site?

Unfortunately none of them have decided on making our site their home, but within a 5 minute walk you can see many of them in their natural environment (Eel River marshes).  We also have over 100 species of birds living in and around Charlo.

  1. What is the temperature of the water in the Bay of Chaleur?

During the summer months, July and August, the temperature varies between 16 and 22 degrees celcius.  The amount of snow, it’s melting date and the amount of sun during the spring have a big effect on the water temperatures.

In every cottage, you will find a list of activities with phone numbers and costs.  On site we have a selection of DVD’s, board games and books that can be used free of charge.  Within a few kilometers of our cottages, there are indoor pools, a movie theatre, libraries, shopping malls, museums and bowling alleys.

Our cottages are in the North-East New Brunswick between Campbellton and Bathurst.  We are 6 hours from Quebec City, 2.5 hours from Rimouski and 3 hours from Moncton.

No. We have 4 categories of cottages and variations within each category.  We have 2 or 3 bedroom cottages that have 2, 3 or 4 beds and some have sofa beds.  When you call to make your reservation it is important to mention your needs and the amount of persons that will be staying with you.  We will be better able to identify the perfect cottage to meet your needs.
